Cynthia was born and raised in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History (first class honours) from the University of Prince Edward Island upon graduating in 2003. She then continued her education at the University of New Brunswick where she obtained her LL.B. in 2007.

Cynthia joined the office as a summer student in 2005 and again in 2006. She then completed her articles and is now an associate with the firm.
