Thomas A. Matheson is a partner in the Matheson & Murray office and has been practicing law for twenty-eight years. Tom was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and admitted to the Nova Scotia bar in 1977 and the Prince Edward Island bar in 1978, having completed his education at Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1969, a Masters in Public Administration in 1976 and a law degree in 1977.
Tom's practice is focused on a broad range of commercial matters, including business acquisitions and sales, partnership agreements, and secured contracts; as well as all types of property transactions, trusts and estate work.
Tom is a Director of Canadian National Trust & Loan Company and Pictet International Trust Corporation and a member of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island. In 2000, Tom received his Queen's Counsel designation.
In addition, Tom is a member of the Board of Trustees of Trinity United Church, a director of the P.E.I. Wild Blueberry Growers Association Inc. and a director and officer of the Wild Blueberry Growers' Association of North America. |
